Journal of Systems Thinking (JoST)

Advancing systems thinking through evidence, openness, and transparency

The Journal of Systems Thinking (JoST) is the official journal of the Academy of Systems Thinking (AST) and operates under a Post-Publication Peer Review (PPPR) model with a high standard for evidence.

Articles are published only after meeting clear, objective criteria for rigor, clarity, and relevance. Once published, they are opened to transparent, ongoing peer review—where claims are scrutinized, tested, challenged, and refined in public view.

JoST distinguishes conceptual influence from empirical support and places particular emphasis on work that is testable, measurable, and useful in practice. This ensures that systems thinking advances not by reputation or tradition, but by evidence and performance.

JoST is where systems thinking is openly evaluated, strengthened, and made trustworthy.
